SHADE INDIA SOCIETY

Shade India Society is a registered voluntary organization. The organization has been established with a mission to enhance social, economical, status of the weaker section of the society through its various development approaches where people from the weaker section do not have access of facilities and opportunity to make their recognition and to have growth in the society. Since its inception the organization has carried out several development activities successfully.

Served 6,000 beneficiaries under Supplementary Nutrition Program (SNP) in Chandigarh, since 2016.
Has served approximately 3 lakh beneficiaries daily in Uttar Pradesh in ten districts under Hot Cook Meal Program (ICDS) from 2011 to 2015.
Has served Mid Day Meal to 7,088 beneficiaries in Ghaziabad (2016-2017), 12,295 in Saharanpur (2005-2014), 18,000 in Punjab (2010-2011) & 1,20,000 in Bihar (2009-2011) & 2,500 in Delhi (2005-2006).

FOCUS ON QUALITY

Quality Standards for ingredients being used at kitchen

Only fresh ingredients of good quality free from hazardous substances are used.
All raw materials like spices, cereals, oil etc necessarily are of AGAMARK or ISI marked.
All ingredients are stored in dry, ventilated and hygienic conditions free from the risk of contamination, moisture and health hazards.

Overview of Mid Day Meal & ICDS Program

To supply Hot Cook Meal in addition to Morning Snacks & Take Home Ration to children in the age group of 6 months to 6 years, including severely malnourished children, pregnant & lactating mothers and adolescent girls.
Supplementary Nutrition is provided to targeted beneficiaries for 300 days approximately in a year.
To reduce malnutrition in targeted beneficiaries and elimination of micro nutrients deficiencies relating to iron, iodine, vitamin A etc.
To prepare meal in hygienic environment at semi-automated centralised kitchens.
To transport food in safety conditions to anganwadis
