Training in Garments Preparation
TRAINING IN GARMENTS PREPARATION
The unemployment and poverty among weaker sections was observed on large scale. With a view to improve the social status by raising income through employment or self-employment and utilizing the underutilized women and other unemployed youth, Society imparted training in cutting and tailoring of garments for a period of six months duration and overall 59 uneducated poor weaker sections women/ girls were trained.
Society observed that regular employment/ self-employment was not available to poor women/ girls. A production unit was established and garments were prepared by the trained women. The supply of raw materials and marketing of garments was
made by the Society.
AGARBATTI TRAINING
Society arranged the training in Agarbatti making to illiterate poor women for a period of the one month. The training was imparted in preparation of sticks, mixture of ingredients, perfuming, packing etc. With a view to encourage the women to work on continuous basis and earns the wages, Society provided raw material and marketed the ready agarbattis. The women were given/ paid wages according to the quantity prepared by each beneficiary.
PATCH WORK TRAINING
Society imparted training to poor women/ girls in patch work for a period of six months duration in Seelampur area and trained 55 women/ girls in two batches. Society assisted the trained beneficiaries to provide the raw materials and marketing of patched garments.
HANDICRAFTS TRAINING
Looking the employment/ self employment as well as marketing facilities, Society provided training to poor unemployed weaker sections youth in preparation of handicrafts items. Training was imparted to 53 youth during the year in two batches for a period of six months.
The trained youth were motivated to form their self help groups. The assistance intend to each group was provided by the Society. Each group prepared the items which were sold in market by the Society. The remuneration as per work was provided to the group members.
COACHING PROGRAMME
The Coaching Programme is continuing free of cost for the students belonging to weaker section and fee is charged from the higher income group students.
